12 months later

I can't believe 12 months have passed by since the last "Keeping the Spirit Alive" at Newbiggin Village Hall. It was intended that this show would carry on , even if/when we moved. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, this wasn't to be the case.

Well if 2014 for was the year for change, 2015 is proving that it is bigger and better.

Well if 2014 for was the year for change, 2015 is proving that it is bigger and better. I was able to help at The Spirit of Cumbria show at Rheged, the last weekend in April, as my where abouts were uncertain in the time for booking the event.

It was wonderful to be part of such a wonderful event, bringing so much energy together in one place. I was able to recommend people to help with stewarding the event and new exhibitors. I know from feedback, it was enjoyed immensely.

Keeping The Spirit Alive 2013

Well it is now the beginning of October, and the show has been and gone. What a success, so many happy people in Newbiggin Village Hall on September 21st.

There were 20 stands and 5 talks/workshops and not forgetting the superb Community Café Team with their delicious homemade cakes.

The event was attended by a wonderful crowd of people who had looked out the event and wanted to be there. They came from as far afield as Inverness and Somerset and all across Cumbria and into the Scottish borders.

Riddlesden and beyond

I had a brain storm at the end of May, to run an Holistic event near Penrith, to follow on from the massive show held at Easter at Reghed. So "Keeping the Spirit Alive" was born. There are more details on the "Events" page.

The show is growing and support is wonderful. The posters are printed and will be going out shortly too. Keep an eye out for them and in the local press too.

The Spirit of Cumbria and Beyond

Wow the Easter weekend for The Spirit of Cumbria event was amazing. The run up to it disappeared into a blur of preparation, then actual event itself. I met some lovely, genuine people and was part of a wonderful web of positive energy that now extends out of the hub that is Rheged.
